On these pages we aim to provide information about what is going on in and around the Parish. If you have issues that you would like to raise with the Parish Council and/or would like to see mentioned on these pages, please feel free to contact the Parish Clerk.
Following the recent presentation to the Parish Council of the draft report, developed after almost 2 years of investigation, an open meeting will be held at the Village Hall on Tuesday 30th September, at 7:30 pm. The SNDC Flooding Officer and representatives from Highways, the Environment Agency and SNDC have been invited. The key elements of the report, with its recommended optional actions to alleviating the the flooding problems, will be presented and parishioners will have the opportunity to ask questions and voice their concerns and opinions. No decisions are expected to be made at the meeting, but all evidence and views will be taken forward as input to the decision making process. If parishioners would like to see advance copies of the options put forward in the report, please send a stamped addressed envelope with your request to the Parish Clerk - whose address is found under "contact us", above.
Traffic & Road Safety
The flashing 30mph warning sign at the Marlingford end of Barford is working well. Although it has not yet been connected to the electricity supply, its 'temporary' solar powered operation continues to be successful. A second flashing speed sign for the Barnham Broom end of Barford is being considered.
