All of the exchanges in the Roothings.net area now have ADSL capability, ADSL is the technology that provides Broadband access through your telephone wires. To find out if you can have ADSL click here.

I can't get ADSL, now what do I do ?
Roothings.net is now focussed on enabling broadband access for those people who check their phone number and find they can't get ADSL. We are now working in partnership with local wireless broadband provider w20.net, if you can't get ADSL you can have wireless Broadband NOW!
How do I register for wireless broadband?
Send an email to diane@w20.net with your name, phone number, address and exact
postcode included, or visit the registration website www.w20.net, click the link to register your interest , and w20.net will
be in contact with you.
Why should I want this?
· It’s high speed internet access, you get to websites up to 10 times more
quickly
· You can still talk on the phone when using the computer !
What does it cost?
· For the first 100 subscribers to sign up Roothings.net will provide the user equipment free of charge (a saving to users of over £260).*
(*) You pay the £50 + VAT installation fee and the monthly rental (e.g. a 512 kb/s connection is £29.95 + VAT per month on a 12
month minimum contract)

BT have installed ADSL in most of the exchanges now but if you are too far from your exchange to receive ADSL, then you should apply for the wireless service from w20.
The exchanges that have been upgraded are : Roothing (numbers 01279 730***,731***, 739***) Hatfield Broad Oak, White Roding (01279 876***), Good Easter (01245 23****) and Sheering.
Fyfield (01277 899***) will be upgrade in the spring of 2005.
