Parish Council meetings are usually held on the last Tuesday of each month in the Roydon Village Hall but are subject to change. The next Parish Council Meeting will be on WEDNESDAY 28TH MAY 2008 at 7:15pm in the Parish Room at St. Remigius Church. Roydon is situated approximately 1 mile west from the market town of Diss on the border of Norfolk & Suffolk. The name Roydon means ‘Rye Hill’. The first reference to the village is in circa 1035 and it is also mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
The Mobile Library service will be calling at the Recycling Lay-by on the A1066 every 3 WEEKS on THURSDAYS, the next visit being THURSDAY 15th MAY from 14.50 p.m. to 15.20 p.m.
Future dates in 2008 when the Mobile Library will be visiting Roydon are as follows:
5th June, 26th June, 17th July, 7th August, 28th August, 18th September, 9th October, 30th October, 20th November and 11th December. Dates in 2009 are as follows: 01 January, 29 January, 26 February and 26 March.

The Church is dedicated to St. Remigius who was Bishop of Rheims in France. It was built in circa 1140. The original Church consisted of a round Tower, Nave with no side aisles and possibly a small Chancel.
