Here are some places to find out about the history of Sandridge and Sandridge Village:

Some of the history of Sandridge, Marshalswick and Nomansland Common is tied up with the history of the Thrale Family. Find out more at the Thrale.com website: Sandridge on Thrale.com

Some local residents have put together some history. Take a look at Andrew and Janets page on Sandridge history: Andrew & Janet's Sandridge

(Janet Rose, who sadly passed away recently, wrote the book "Historic Sandridge Revisted" shown above.)

Sandridge Village History in Pictures
Local Resident Reg Auckland, who like Janet is sadly no longer with us, left behind a marvelous legacy of pictures of the village. You can find them on the Sandridge Village website - follow the links below:

Maybe you could help out David Thrale of Thrale.com. He has two bits of information he would appreciate finding out:

a. On his page Sandridge priests on Thrale , he has a list of Sandridge priests. After 1956 there are big gaps. Also the name of the 1470 -1477 priest and the 1527 priest are partially illegible. Can anybody fill any in?

b. The copy of Historic Sandridge (Richard Thrale's version) that he has on his site has a virtually unreadable chapter 1 (Historic Sandridge chapter 1). Could anybody supply him a readable photocopy of that chapter?

You can contact him at www.thrale.com or e-mail email@thrale.com

Does anyone have any more History about the Parish? If so please send an e-mail to the website manager.
